Trade G for Crossfire SRT-6??

Reading the new Motor Trend and the supercharged SRT-6 looks sweet. Should be out this fall and might throw up some competition. Too bad its only a 2 seater...

My buddy calls the crossfire the "whistle" on wheels cause it looks like an upside down referee whistle. I think the car is f f f f ugly. To each is own though=)

my thoughts exactly. the rear of the car is just horrendous. just to let you know, the crossfire is just a refit mercedes benz slk from what i read a while back.

i think the car is absolutely beautiful, until you get to the rear. it looks like mercedez/chrysler ran out of design money when the got to the end. and its real tiny too.

The regular crossfire is definitely a looker. But its too damn weak. The new one is FAST! but I can't say much about the exterior. They killed their styling with it.

Re: Trade G for Crossfire SRT-6??

I looked at the Crossfire before buying the G35C. I didn't like it all, didn't even bother to test drive it. Only has two seats which is ok for some. Ground clearance was around 4 inches, again ok for some, just too low for bumpy roads I drive on. Front tires are 18", rear tires are 19", summer tires were standard. If you don't like the wheels, you'll have a limited selection since not all wheels look the same in different sizes. Being that they are different sizes, they can't give you a spare tire (and you don't want to haul around two spares) so they include a can tire sealant and an air compressor instead. The hatchback design is well...ugly. Poor rear view visiblility since the rear window is like a square. Around the front windshield its all silver even if your car is red or black which I didn't like. From a distance, the front looks like a Pacifica. and I wouldn't buy an American or an American-design German car. Just my opinions.

Dont think I would trade my G for it, but the car does sound pretty fast. Wouldn't want a two seater anyway...

Re: Trade G for Crossfire SRT-6??

fellas????? why so much hate ?
I love my G, and won't trade it for any car less than 70,000, but Crossfire is a decent car.
you have to give chysler some credit, they are atleast ahead of all the other american car companies..stylewise that is..

as for MrElussive, i don't think you should trade G for Crossfire..but its your money and your call

Re: Trade G for Crossfire SRT-6??

I actually like the Crossfire's rear better than the front. At least its rear is a very unique design. The front is way too "normal" looking. You could literally stick its front facia on a family sedan or minivan.
Anyway, I think the next Mercedes SLK looks Waaaaaaaay better than the Crossfire. If anything that should be the car anyone gets before the Crossfire.

I considered the Crossfire and like its look for the most part. The back is a little strange. I didn't get it because it is barely bigger than a Miata.
