To wing or not to wing..

I would like some opinions on putting the rear spoiler on my car. I bought it, but I am not sure if I want to put it on.
Heres a pic....

Yes I know the topic has been debated several times... but every car has a different look when the wheels are changed..
Edited by lorinserbenz on 04/03/04 10:15 AM.

I think the question is where to get some S-Tech springs for those wheels. =P

The G looks beautiful with and without the wing. What finally made up my mind was the .01 drag coefficient dropping and it gives you something to close the trunk with.

The car looks great either way, but I definitely prefer it WITH the wing. Makes it look sportier in my opinion.

Re: To wing or not to wing..

When I bought mine from the dealer, it came without a spoiler but I had always thought it looked like something was missing without one and had them agree to add one. Then I started getting used to the car without one and had second thoughts. But they were doing it for free at this point so I had them put it on. I wondered what my first reaction to seeing my car with the spoiler would be. Well, it was the feeling that it belonged.

It doesn't have to be the OEM wing, but it does look like something is missing. Nice backdrop in your pic.

To wing...the coupe's J-Lo rear needs an offset up top.

Re: To wing or not to wing..

You should look at some coupes with wings to see if you prefer it. I saw several coupes at the dealership with wings and decided that I liked it better without the wing. For my previous car (98 Accord coupe), I decided it not only had to have a wing, but also ground effects. So it's not like I have anything against wings.
Basically I think this is truly a personal preference decision on any particular car.
