Here's the deal. You will have an insurance deductible, probably under the Comprehensive portion of your policy. You will LOSE your deductible, period. The insurance company will cut you a check for the FULL REPLACEMENT COST minus your deductible. They might even give you a free rental car (you should insist on this) until you have a suitable amount of time to purchase and receive your new wheels. You will have to wait for new stock wheels to come in, OR there is a set of new stock 18" on E-Bay for under $1600.00 with tires and low mileage. You could buy the E-Bay stock wheels/rims (auction ends in 3 days) and keep the difference from the insurance check. Then you'd have about $2000-ish to play with modding your vehicle. Maybe get a killer stereo, some performance modifications, or something entirely different like a 42" plasma TV. If you choose to buy brand new aftermarket wheels and tires you will have a check to go buy which ever ones you like.

You see, this is really a blessing in disguise. You should calm down, be thankful that you have insurance and DON"T STRESS about it. This might seem like a bad situation right now, but in 1 month you'll look back on this and laugh.

If I were you, I'd get the stock wheels/tires off of e-bay. Offer the seller $2000 to close down the auction IMMEDIATELY and have him ship the wheels out OVER NIGHT. By Tuesday you'll have your ride back and you'll have the difference between the $4800, your deductible, the $2000 for the wheels, and shipping costs. You'll probably have somewhere between $2000 and $2500 cash in your pocket with your ride back in tip-top shape before next Wednesday.

Man I'm jealous. BTW, was there any damage to the paint or any other part of the car?

Sorry to hear of your bad luck bro. As you said, wheel locks and an alarm are a good investment.

Not sure if the structural integrity is messed after their bad jacking job. Best let the dealer look at that and make sure the body and other parts aren't damaged. Be sure and let the insurance know what's going on too.

The only good thing is maybe you will make out on the deal...did you tell the insurance compay about the additional damage as well? If so, get yourself the check and start your new wheels and tires in motion.....I hope it all works out to your advantage.....

Man that sucks. I feel your pain brother. Looks like the splash guard got bent out of place too. At least those ****** could have jacked up your car properly. Does the apartment parking complex have a sign that says "we are not responsible for theft or damage"? There's probably not a lot of recourse you can get against the apartment owner. Just make sure the insurance fixes EVERYTHING.

Those brembos are actually worth just as much as the rims. Good thing they didn't take those.

What car would they put the rims on? A 350z? A G35 with 17s? Just can't imagine someone buying a $30K + car then going out to steal the rims.

 

No prints on the pepsi cases? Darn. Oh well-- blessing in disguise, as you'll get some serious dosh to play with for new rims, tires, and possible mods.

Yes...this is in Orange County... "Irvine" I just cant believe..i slept at 2:00am woke up at 8:00am..and this thing happened..

Well, i'm trying to find the file where when i purchased the car, South bay Infiniti did mentioned, they already put side molding, splash guards, wheel locks, so i had to pay some extra money with low jack as well..... I feel little better after reading all the comments....

i always check my car for scratches, I found no scratches at all.... Oh u know wut, when the police was checking for the fingerprint, they didnt check on those pepsi blocks... Damn it... wut an dumb *** police man... more mad now..haha
