..I cant tint all windows because its illegal in Illinois, I was thinking about tinting the back + back passenger windows..but that would kind of look weird on a coupe? (at least thats what I think)..should I do it or should I stay clear?

 

why would it look weird..just do the two front ones a light tint??

 

I see this on minivans all the time and always thought it looked really odd. If you can't tint all the way around, I don't feel there's a point in doing it.

Have the back window and the two small side windows tinted 20% just to
keep the heat out of your car in summer. That doesn't looks strange at all,
and it will keep the "Man" off you back or you could do like we do here in Ca.
....tint all windows and take your chances. I have 35% (Med) on all windows
and haven't been stopped....yet

I've had tint on all the windows except the windshield on every car I've owned .... and still to this day I haven't been given a ticket. So just get them tinted, and roll down your windows if you see a cop near.

 

cop won't pull you over for the front tint.. as long the tint is not dark like limo tint and they see what you doing in the car , cali law is no tint at all but they don't care unless you speeding and got pull over of cuz they will give u tint ticket also.... my friend brother is a cop that what he told me..

 

I have to go with the average opinion here. Just go for it and take your chances. I'm in TN, but most cars around campus are tinted all the way around or darker than legal.. or both in some cases. My truck is even 15% all sides and back (side limited to 35% by state) w/ tinted tail lights and third brake light none the less. While stopped one night for speeding (dont get me started on that one btw) the cop didnt say a word about any of my very much illegal tint/blackout issues, though he did drop a copmliment on how it looked haha!

As long as your not hiding dead bodies or drugs theyll usually leave you alone lol.

sidenote: tint is the first planned mod for my G when I find the right one 50 front 15 everywhere else.

 

Either tint all the side windows or none at all. Tinting just the side rear windows will look bad.

 

Its illegal here but i just got 20 percent all around and havent been stopped. I figure for the most part, as long as you dont give them a reason to pull you over in the first place you should be straight. Of course its still a risk, as there are always those officers just looking for things to get you for.

 

Do 20% in the back and rears> Do 35% on the front windows. Leave the sunroof shade open when you see a cop , if its sunny. I have 35% all around but if I do it again it'll be 20% all around.

I think here in NY that its only a equipment violation which= fine.
