Tire and Wheel Warranty

Has anyone actually made use of this warranty yet? I was just curious how badly your rims and tires have to be for them to repair or replace. Please explain what the dealer did for you and what caused the damage to your wheel or tire. Also if you have pictures of the damage that would be helpful as well.

Re: Tire and Wheel Warranty

I think he referring to the "extra" added warranty you pay for
The standard tire warranty is from Michelin, and our rims our covered if defective, not against cosmetic damage....
I read a while back of somebody who put up the additional monies for the warranty, but I can't remember the actual cost for it.......check with your dealership...you may be able to add it as well...2old4this

Re: Tire and Wheel Warranty

I just replaced the passenger side front tire on my G last thrusday after falling into this crater, NYC never fails. The dealer price for the tire was so reasonable I called twice to make sure it was the right tire they were quoting me for. Total came off to $250 with mounting and balancing. How much is that wheel and tire warranty and what does it cover? What does the basic warranty cover?

Re: Tire and Wheel Warranty

when i purchased the car, i got a road hazard tire coverage which was optional.. they told me any damaged tires and wheels caused by road hazard will be replaced at no cost for 5 years. i'm pretty sure you are referring to this service contract. when i posted the same question, it was still too early to get any feedback from other drivers. i guess we will have to wait and see..

I also purchased the tire hazard policy (or whatever it scalled). I don't remember the cost, it was cheap though. Maybe an axtra dollar a month. It basically covers tire blowouts, nails, glass etc. and any damage that happens to the rim because of it.

Re: Tire and Wheel Warranty

Just purchase the road hazzard warranty from any tire store like Just tires, america tire company, etc. They're easier to work with then the dealer and probably have the available size tires in stock. I spent $120 road hazzard for my bridgestone s03s 20in tires.

Re: Tire and Wheel Warranty

i was just curious... because i hit a deep pothole (which the warranty suppose to cover) it didnt pop the tires but it made like curb marks on the rim and some of the tire came off. Was wondering if this is something i can make an issue and get my rim fixed

Re: Tire and Wheel Warranty

It was 300 dollars for 5 years and it protects you against any road hazard to your wheels and tires. I had a sidewall puncture in my rear tire a couple months back and they replaced it without any hassle.

Bump...

Anyone with the 05 get this warranty, any info is appreciated. G is scheduled to arrive 3/25, not sure if I should get this or not, considering all the potholes in philly and riding on the 19's.

I've had my share of potholes in NY, I commute twice a week to Manhattan and the 19s have taken their beating already, no sign of any damage here. As for the warranty I have no idea.

guys run back to the dealer and get your money ASAP Please

I bought the same stupid package for $500 extra and was told the same lie by ATlantic Infiniti here in NY. Two months later when the valet parking idiot curbed my 2 driver's side wheels I went back and asked to get them fixed. The gentleman who sold me the package gave me a 1(800) to call which I did and they specifically told me that they do not cover cosmetic damages. They only cover if you crack your wheel or bend it beyond repair, which pretty much means almost never. I immediately canceled it back in August of last year and let me tell you they still havent cancelled it and havent given me a cent.

I already called Infiniti consumer affairs and Better Business Bureau. Im telling you guys that is the biggest scam going. Im even taking them to court for fraud and their defense was that the guys who sold me the package was fired and he didnt know any better.

I just went to the dealer on yesterday to complaint and the finance clerk told me that a check is in the mail for the difference which is like $100.

call the dealer and ask about it and tell them you want to cancel and see if Im lying.

dont be the next one getting bent over the barrell.

I bought my coupe in January and I have already used the warranty. It cost $500. I hit a pothole and the cost of replacement of the tire was $292. If the rim was damaged (beyond cosmetic), I would have a new rim as well. Lifetime warranty on tire and rim as long as tire has more than 2/32s tread. It doesn't matter if you have replaced tires, warranty runs with the car and you get replacement cost of original tires. I figure, 1 month, $300 - 4 years, ???????. I'll keep the warranty. And I NEVER buy warranties. Glad I did this time.
