How's this price on this 2005 Coupe?
Been working on this guy over his 2005 Coupe. I posted a thread about what year it was since I lost the original ad, but that's all sorted and such.
He's wanting $24k for the car and since it has the chrome wheels and sport package, I am not sure if the price is fair. Kelly Blue Book seems to think so and the trade value is probably around $22k, but overall, a few issues:
-Chrome wheels in our climate is not good - I'll need to buy 17" winter wheels and tires.
-No Navigation. At least I don't remember if it had it or not as it has been a couple of months.
-I have to fly out and buy the car and drive it home. No biggie as we can make it a vacation, but it is going to be at least $500 or so extra to do that...
Just making sure I am doing the right thing.
Miles are under 30k. That's a positive. i just see a lot of 2006 Coupes with sport package and 6 speed MT for close to that amount. Most have been in the $26-$29k range depending where they are and demand and such. Around our area, I see them for $26ish... However, this is the color and wheel combo my wife wants and likes and it seems to be tough to find around here...
Suggestions? Price fair enough? What's the bank going to think in terms of value here?

Here's a pic to verify:

And another:

As far as a couple of grand more for an 07, I haven't found ANY 2007s under $29k. And that's pretty much a base model and nothing with a Sport Package.
Most the 06s with prices under $26-$27K have 30-40k miles. This one I am looking at only has 24k... I'd think that's worth a bit...
Plus, I really was going to buy 17s for whatever year I bought due to winters here so, that extra $2k or so savings pays for those.
I was just wondering if $24k for the above pictured machine is worth the money. Moreso on the engine and drive trane more than anything. I know there are differences, but hell, there's guys with 2003s that have had no issues and love them to death...

Consider the tax money and etc on top of that $24K

Sorry about the projector thing... I knew the tails were "old style", but like I said, I still think it is a sexy car.
I'm hoping someone can chime in and say whether the money is right - not as it compares to a 2006 or 2007...

since you think it's a good deal why bother to ask...
i can get 06 under 20k miles for 26K OTD ..
it's doesn't matter how much the seller put the price tag. you have to do your homework first , learn how to bargain with the seller and talk him down to the price that you want... don't just go and stand there look at the engine and hear the sound of the wind when test drive it.act like you know alot about car, write down what you need to look at, tire, interior, audio, suspension, TSB, ask him about recall stuff..ect... don't act like you want this car so bad and don't be stupid. the seller will noticed this and think you a dumb as.s and for sure you will come back for the settle price that he put on the TAG...
It seems your set on a 05, I would try to get the price lower than 24k.I would offer the seller 22.5 take it leave it.But I'd still rather save a couple thousand and get a 06 or 07.

However, what I think is a good deal may not be a good deal. Hence, the reason I am asking here. I think I can get it for $22k. What I was looking for was if anyone thought $24k was too high and what would be a better price.
Where can you find legit G35s with under 20K in miles for $26K OTD? That would mean a G35 with Sport Package for just over $24k...
What outside cosmetic are the big differences between 05 and 06? Cosmetically speaking, they are very close and to an untrained eye, nobody is going to care and think it is any different. I'm concerned more about differences between the two years.
Is there a good thread on here that tells us other than the basics?
Sorry if I am wasting some of your guys' time on this. I know the guy personally and think the car has low miles for the year, is virtually in excellent condition outside tires, has a few neat things like the chrome wheels (Which are by no means a selling point to me, but are unique out here nonetheless...) and I just think that it is close to being a good deal... I was just wanting to verify.
I understand that a good deal is in the eyes of the beholder, but at the same time, it kinda sucks to buy something you think is a good deal and then find out that you could have got better and newer for the same money...
here are the deal in my area... 06 under 20k miles

i got my 04 recently for $20,900 for 23k miles with the sports package but no nav..i already had a portable so i didn't need one..i would offer him a lil lower like wat VCG35 said..and see wat they say...
06-07 versus 05:
1) New Headlights with Projectors
2) Sport Package includes Revised front fascia and side skirts
3) New rear taillights
4) New style rear spoiler
I believe those are the only differences. The inside remained untouched. from the 03-04 to 05 conversion.

Those chrome wheels are just stock wheels with chrome on them, really cant ask more for that.
Also the trade in value at kbb, is BS, true trade in is a few g's less... just a good way to gauge the deal.
He could get like 19.5 on trade

The second and third listings are not available to see...
The fourth one is essentially the same car, but $3k more. Is the 2006 worth $3k more?
The final one is a base and is $3k more...
