cool i thought that was just if your running turbo.. i guess im wrong there... no is that hard to install? bacause it is hella expensive.. lol

Since you're in Houston you're only about 2 1/2 hours from UpRev in Austin... might want to look into Osiris because you could easily get it tuned in-house at their facility.

so im getting my car back tomorrow for a day got all the parts in. but i dont have the utec yet.. can i drive without one until i save up money to get it?? please help


and sunday is the body shop! yeay me!

If you pistons set up is just stronger and the same compression ratio I wouldn't think you need a tune (the intake spacer doesn't require one). Some people lower the ratio for supercharging.

You'll probably be running very lean, but you can probably run your car no problem whatsoever since your pistons don't seem too radical of a modification. (What's your new compression ratio?)

Apparently money isn't an object with you - even so, I'd consider UpRev's Osiris over the UTEC, especially considering your relatively close proximity to UpRev.

If you do go FI, then there are better tuning options available than either UTEC or Osiris depending upon your FI application. But hands down having a local tuner who knows your car and is familiar with a particular engine management system is the best way to tune any car.

If you have Osiris close and available to you, i'd do that over UTEC any day.

thanks bluedevil!! money not an issue thats too funny.. im a poor man!

the bore size is 96 mm and the compression rate is 8.5:1 is that the same as the stock ones?
