Just got my renewal todau on my Coupe and the premium went up $300 every six months. Called the company and they said the rating for the Coupe changed to a high performance vehicle. The letter rating is a 'J'. Anyone else have this happen. By the way my 6 month premiun is $780 with GEICO.

 

Could be.. when I bought my coupe Progressive wanted 900 every six months, so I swicthed to Safeco for about half that. But, I wonder if the ratings will change that next time.

 

should be intersting to see- my premium actually went down 500/yr when we bought and insured it in february (can't remember insurers name). it's funny, because i went from a 1999 V6(23,000CDN, 190hp) to 2003 G35C, and was expecting premiums to really go up.

Insurer said they rate the g35C in the 'old-fogey' category (i.e., only old people drive it, and they get better rates, so by default i get a rate reduction). Wierd, i know.

They may have given you a lower rating when they first issued the policy, since it was new and they didn't know how to rate it. Not fimiliar with letter ratings, usually it's a number.

call progressive for a quote, you may be able to save that $300 plus more. i had geico and their rates sucked. they had my t-bird listed as an SVT and were screwing me, so i called progressive got more for less!

 

yes my was 104 $ a month and now they want it to be 130 its bull crap my policy changed also .I have farmers and my agent is a family friend owelllll
