anyone else notice that the hids on the maximas look better than the g35s.

I thought the new maximas had projector lights instead of reflectors like our G's. That would be the reason why.

I agree....My I35 had which seemed to me much brighter headlights compared to my G....
Maybe a higher output HID...Like 6,000 - 8,000 Temp would help....

Our stock HID bulbs are pretty poor in terms of looking good, lighting. I mean they have a cool beam shape to me cuz its narrow and sleek, but the color and actual lighting quality is pretty poor. I've seen some nice bulb replacements for our G's though.

As for Maxima's having better lights, they are also more stolen too. Those Maxima projectors seem to be hot.

i wish'd the G had the manual leveling projection beam setup as the maxima, murano, Z, fx, and I have....

my prediction is that the newly styled facelift will incorporate this feature.... (shhhhh)

6000-8000 is NOT higher output. It is higher color in the spectrum, meaning bluer. 4100K is still the brightest among all 35W hid bulbs. There are 50W bulbs out there, but they are very rare and expensive, and you would need a 50W ballast. All OEM HIDs are 4100K. Some look bluer because of a projector setup or because of color shift as the bulb ages. If you want brighter HIDs, I would get projectors.

they don't seem to be as bright but I still get people turning their high beams on at me

I really like the look of my boys 04' Maxima lights.

Ive done a search but nothing posted in the last couple of months seem to help.

How much are we talking here if I wanted to retrofit some projectors??
