hi i just purchased a 2004 g35 coupe with 40k miles on it, it has numerous problems please help me with as many as u can.
-After leaving my car i lock it with the remote and after 20 minutes it just goes off. the alarm always goes off 20 to 25 minutes after i lock the car with the key remote, what i do is i lock from the inside manually..
-When i start accelerating the car i get a lot of heat coming from under the steering wheel.
-The radio wont play cds, they wont go in its like locked.
-i need to change the bearings inside the engine pulleys is that important?.
-fuel gauge never reads full, i fill it up until it cant take no more but still never gets to the top.
-the parking brake light never goes on when i push the parking brake.
- my tire pressure sensor light wont go off,, i checked all the 5 tires and are ok.
- i get a whistling sound from the passenger door whe i go at hisgh speeds.

Wow, ummm, not sure what to say. Did you not test drive the car or inspect it prior to buying? Hopefully it's still under warranty...

lol oh man...

Is your car still under warranty? If so just take it in! Let's see, the fuel gauge issue is a known issue, they can fix that for you. As for the cd's are you sure you are pressing 'load' and selecting the slot number to set the unit up for loading a cd, or are you just trying to jam a cd in there? What PSI are all your tires at right now? As for the parking brake lights not working.. check the bulbs, maybe they are out! Heat coming from under the steering wheel, hmm what mode and temperature is your AC set to? Like, it's not set to blow air towards your feet and at a high temperature, is it?

my car is not under warranty,, what can i do about the fuel gauge? what about the bearing inside the pulleys in the front of the engine are those important? my tires are at 32 psi,, and when im at high speeds my air is off and normally i keep it only directed to the head..

Wow... I am the third owner of a G with a clean title (based upon mechanic's inspections - NOT Carfax which is clean for my car but B.S. for others) with 45,000 miles and I don't have a single one of those problems.
My best guess is you have purchased a car with a rebuilt title. It's entirely possible the title is "clean" - unfortunately it's commonplace for dealers to have shady places produce a new and entirely clean title for a salvaged car or one that was otherwise seriously damaged in the past.

Is the alarm you are describing aftermarket? Or the stock alarm?

Never heard of the heat issue...

The stock Bose stereo (you have Bose in your 5AT, right?) is notorious for problems...

Unfamiliar with engine pulley bearings - can't help you

I've had fuel gauge issues with previous cars - never with my G

Lots of problems with 5AT sedans and parking brakes. In general, they aren't very good in our cars. Is it engaging and the light isn't going on? Or is it not engaging at all? If it's not engaging at all, get that checked immediately. If it is engaging and the light's not going on, don't sweat it.

Where did you get a G with 5 tires?!?!? Mine has four? But seriously, if your tires are all filled to spec PSI and the TPMS warning light is still on, then something is wrong and you may need to take it to your dealer and have the sensors reset. First, you might want to try resetting your ECU by leaving your batter unplugged for >12 hours.

The whistling sound could be related to the weather stripping which people have had problems with.

Bottom line, I hope for your sake this car is less than 4 years old so that you still have the bumper-to-bumper warranty. If not, then you at least have your powertrain warranty until 6 years and 70,000 miles.

Good luck and sorry to hear about your G's troubles!

OP,
If you want, PM me your VIN and I can run a carfax on it--that is, if you haven't done so already.

EDIT....never mind. I just checked and the account I had access to is no longer valid. It was my cousin's account who worked at a bank. Sorry.

You mean you checked the physical connection of the TPMS to the spare? It shouldn't be hooked into the actual system being monitored - at least not as far as I know.

dont worry about the gas gauge
alot of people have that problem including me
it adjusts it self around when the gas is half a tank in my car
and the whistleing ya its weather stripping
check your right window
and when ur driving put ur window down a little bit and check if the sound goes away if it does then it is ur stripping
and the windows ive heard people say they have that problem
the dealership fixes that
alarm id say get a new compustar 2 way system ull love it
same with the deck just get a double din or something
ive had problems with my car
i just change wat i think is wrong

Try putting the recommended 35 psi into your tires. That should solve the tire pressure issue!

Bearings in a pulley? Never seen that.

Fuel tank is known problem.

All the other stuff is whacked!
