Is this fixable?

Yup, a nail on Left Rear tire. The nail is about 5mm from the sidewall and the tire is slowly leaking. Can this be fix? My tires are only 3 months OLD!!! and unfortunately they don't come with warannty. Any thoughts?.

I'm guessing a shop wouldn't try to patch a tire with a nail so close to the sidewall. I've had something similar and they wouldn't touch anything within an inch of the side.

dismount the tire and put a patch from the inside. i dont think a plug would be safe.

A hole that is that close to the sidewall is definitely among the more dangerous punctures in a tire. I know your tire is only 3 months old, but isn't your life a little more important than the price of 1 tire? You could very easily lose control at highway speeds if you hit even the smallest of bumps just right.

I wouldn't trust that to any type of repair. Its way too close to the sidewall area. The tire flexing from cornering could easily dislodge even a patch.

Do yourself a big favor, spring for the dough and replace it......be safe not sorry.

I'd patch or plug it myself.

That close to the sidewall it's a coin toss. The repair may work and it may not...

that close to the sidewall I'd bite the bullet and just replace it. Not worth it, especially on these cars. Virtual: that should be ok, it's not near the sidewall so I see no reason it can't be repaired.

Virtual: don't use other people's post on yours. It will create confusion and people may not able to answer your question directly. Yes, that looks like it's fixable unless they said it's not enough tire left.

Noirkyouto: haha, I replaced that tire 2 months ago! I don't know why Virtual suddenly pull this out again.
