What are your opinions on Injen, Nismo, Borla...?

What are your opinions on Injen, Nismo, Borla...?
In my consideration for purchasing a G35 coupe, I am interested in the modification available for the car. I have read about Injen, Nismo, and Borla products; I have also seen post about the Z tube.
Could you all help me with my research?
I could afford many modifications; however, I believe less is more. I would rather have few high quality products than a super charging system with all the bells and whistles (Not that there is anything wrong with such a setup).
My G35 coupe would not only be my daily drive but I would take the car on many road trips (i.e. from Houston to Seattle or Austin to Pensacola).
Thank you everyone for your help,
Nick

Re: What are your opinions on Injen, Nismo, Borla...?
From the products I have installed and experienced on a coupe, the borla is a great exhaust. It's a very good design, gains a considerable amount of power, keeps the nice stock tone and street civility with the use of extra resonators. It's also pretty inexpensive, compared to some of the other exhausts available for the G35s.
As far as the intakes go, those will have mixed reviews. While the CAI's will give you a few more hp at the rear wheels, the JWT Pop Charger and other "warm air intakes" are a slightly safer option, still retaining most of the performance gains. The price of the CAI's is a bit higher, but you're paying for more intake, so that's not a hugh suprise.
The Injen and NISMO both have gotten good reviews and are very comparable in fitment, performance, etc... I believe Injen has dyno's posted up on their website and there's a couple NISMO ones floating around as well.

Re: What are your opinions on Injen, Nismo, Borla...?
I'd have to say get the JWT popcharger/350z air duct combo. Best intake combo imo. Sound is awesome also. If you want bolt-on performance, I'd say get intake, plenum, headers, hi-flow cats, exhaust, pulley and you'll be very satisfied. Considering that you could afford to get a lot of mods, these mods will be around 3k minus installation but intake and plenum could be self-installed and the rest could be installed as a combo deal. These mods will get you close if not slightly ahead of a stock M3.

Puff, Puff give. 333hp@7900rpm and 262lb/ft of torque@4900rpm is the stock specs for a 2001-2004 E46 M3. I'm sorry, but our stock cars probably won't hit 4.7-4.8 second 0-60 time w/o forced induction. I really doubt we'd see much more than 30-ish rwhp from all of those mods, but I'm half way there (may never do the headers though) so hopefully you're right and I'm all wet. Don't forget our red line is about 1300 rpm away from the top end of a high strung inline 6 that BMW packs in the E46. They are pulling MUCH STRONGER than the G ever could w/o forced induction and the rev limiter being bumped up a bit.
