there should be a tsb (which my dealership has refused to perform) on the filler neck or something or other.

they've just exchanged the fuel sender or even the gauge itself.

apparently, it's a pain in the **** to do. I dunno. I can get mine to fill up to about 15-16 gallons, which leaves me at about a bar away from full. Annoying, but not that terrible.

i used to have that problem with my old BMW, idk what it was but i kno that most of the time if i turned the pump sideways and hold it there while i was pumping it, it would go away and i could fill up without stopping, not sure if it would deff work for you but you can give it a shot!

Dont put the nozzle all the way into your tank... Put it half to 3/4 of the way in there...

there's a TSB on it

you can pump gas at half throttle and it'll go in fine...just takes longer to do.

mine did this for the first time that i ever filled it up. after i pumped it full at half throttle, i guess having the full tank fixed something or relubricated the one way flap thingamabobber inside so it doesn't get stuck now and fills up all the way ($86 to fill it the other day lol)

Supposedly pumping at half throttle is better anyway... Full throttle might not be an accurate gallon reading because of air coming in with the gas. But, you still get charged the same.

Since I've started pumping half throttle I've noticed at least a 1mpg improvement per tank.
