Questions for all the G35 Coupe Drivers!

Hi guys! New guy here that is going to buy a G35 in about a month, but i have a few questions that i want from people that drive this car a lot and some other random questions..

1) I want to buy an 05. I'm willing to buy an 06 if i can afford one, but what are the big changes in each? I love the interior of the 05-06 so much more compared to the 03-04, but are there any more things that are different between an 05/06?

2) Navigation. Is it possible to add the navigation system if the car i buy (used) doesn't have it installed? I like the stock one, and how it goes in and out of the dash, but im sure there are 3rd party ones too. What all does the Nav system do?

3) Does the G35 have an iPod dock or something to be able to connect my iPhone to the sound system of the car? How would i go about using my iPhone music with my car?

4) Is the back seat somewhat comfortable? If possible, how much different is it than from an older mustang? I've been in plenty mustangs, and there is just so little room in the back seat of those. I would have you compare it to another car, but i havent been in many coupes myself in the back seat.

5) On average, what is the top speed of a stock G35? Just the basic, going in a straight line.

I WOULD get a manual, but i live in a busy city by Chicago, and the winters here would just make it a pain. It doesnt help that my driveway is at the beginning of a very very big hill.

Thanks!

1. 05+ has better interior, 03-04's you can get the brembos and you're pretty much SAFE from the oil consumption issue

2. Pioneer Avic D3

3. Pioneer Avic D3 again

4. Back seats are nice and comfortable because they are bucket seats.. Not a whole lot of leg room though.

5. G's are governed but I don't know at exactly what MPH but I know its pretty high. I've reached 130 MPH without even trying.. could have kept going but I let off.

1) i have an 05 and love it, and i dont like the 06 wing and headlights (call me crazy, i already braced myself guys)

2)stock nav is great but to be honest, if you dont travel much its basically useless, i RARELY use mine

3) you can get ipod integration

4) its not comfortable, and gets worse if your over 6 feet. and mine is bigger than my buddies 05 mustang if that helps (our girlfriends gave us their input)

5) although ive never been to top speed in mine, from what i understand top speed is around 150-160, but also may vary depending on transmission

hoped my input helped

Yes they should search, but sometimes it gets very frustrating and its a million times easier to ask.

So when you start telling everyone to search and then they DO search. They will find a ton of other threads that all say the same thing... People telling them to search.

Does that make sense?

I was about to mention something like that...^ You know, this is a forum. The whole point of a forum is to help people out, and if you don't want to help, just don't post. If it's that easy to just search, then you should search, and link a g35 scrub like me to the right thread

06 has projector headlights, bluetooth phone system, memory driver seat, and taillights have a slight different look

yes you can install the factory navi system... is it worth it? No!
3) Does the G35 have an iPod dock or something to be able to connect my iPhone to the sound system of the car? How would i go about using my iPhone music with my car?
im not sure you can use your iphone

the G's backseat is alot roomier than a mustang

around 152 befor the limiter kicks in

I WOULD get a manual, but i live in a busy city by Chicago, and the winters here would just make it a pain. It doesnt help that my driveway is at the beginning of a very very big hill.

Thanks!
