heavy chrome wheels will kill your mileage. And any heavy rotational part, for that matter... if you got any that is.

I know this sounds simple but a really dirty air filter will almost double your gas mileage. I owned a Mazda B2200 for sixteen years for a period of about two years I forgot to change the air filter and I was driving in dusty conditions. The little 4 banger was sucking gas like a V8. I just thought the injectors were worn.
I checked the air filter and dropped it in the drive way to see how much dust would fall out and I got about a cups worth. I was shocked, how could I be so stupid. I put in a new filter and voila, gas mileage went back to normal. I still drive the truck too, but not as much as my G.

I used to get around 14mpg on my G, but after I put the s/c on it only comes out to about 8mpg, and I dont event drive my car that hard. I get about 140mi on a full tank.

That is 16 miles a gallon, which isn't much worse than my 16-17 I normally get just for in town driving (most trips 4 1/2 miles each way to/from work).

Do you use AAA? When you get to 320 miles, and the car sputters to a stop, I assume you need some gas delivered.

Can't believe no one mentioned having the fuel system professionally serviced... About every 25K I take my G to NTB where they do a proper pressurized fuel system cleaning and I pick up a few MPG instantly as well as a good power increase... Over the miles it drops again and I go back to NTB for the service...
Try this with a reputable shop; I highly recommend it every 25-30K

Wow, some of you guys are low. I'm getting about 20.9 mpg (says the navi) and I'm shifting between 3000-3500 rpm.
