14.7 mpg......f*ck!
so im just wondering, does anyone else have this one problem with their g? i mean i dont drive it that hard....plus its an automatic...cause gas here in LA is 4.03 a gallon, its not so fun on my wallet.
dirty air filter, underinflated tires, 87 octane gas? And are you sure you're only getting 14.7, or did your navigation system tell you that? You should be using your trip odometer to measure how many miles you go between fill ups and divide by the number of gallons it takes to fill the tank again.
I drive pretty damn aggressively and I always get 19.5-20.5 mpg, 50/50 city/hwy driving.

twin turbo it- then post a thread saying 6.8 MPG-- WTF?
Then I'll actually read what you wrote
EDIT: for what its worth though- My jeep srt8 (6.1L hemi) with no over drive gear gets 13.3.. so that is pretty low IMO.

keep your tire at optimum spec for mileage that can add 3-4 mpg. Its very easy to drive the vq quickly and burn gas. Sounds like you accelerate and have gotten used to the G pickup speed.

it wouldt be so bad if gas wasnt 4.09 a gal, i fill up with 91, just got my mobile1 syntheic oil change w/ new filters, and my tires are good. f*ck it, i love my car too much.
Maybe you're driving harder than you need, or are having tire problems/something of the sort. Last few fill ups i've gotten a consistent 22 mpg with about 70% city driving. Ive got exhaust headers and intake, and 6mt.
