Anyone had problems with their window???

Hi All,
On the way home today I rolled down both windows and opened up the sun roof. It was soooo nice on the drive home. But my happiness soon turned to anger when I realized I could not roll up the driver's side window. To answer everyone's first question, no the window lock is not engaged. For some reason the driver's side window will not engage. So its stuck in the down position.
I don't think its a fuse issue (I'll check the schematics in a second) because the passenger side will engage. I think there may be a short at the switch. But to discover this I would have to open the door panel, which I don't want to do at this point. I'm gonna take the car in bright and early tomorrow. But this ruins taking the car out tonight.....

Any thoughts you guys or has anyone heard of this problem?

Re: Anyone had problems with their window???

Just put a piece of plywood board in place of glass for tonight and go clubbing....

I had a problem with driver side window rolling up to far so I almost broke the glass while trying to close the door. Dealer fixed it after two attempts.

Re: Anyone had problems with their window???

You know, come to think of it, I can remember hearing a very bad clicking or glass clacking noise coming from the driver side window. This probably happen once or twice over a couple of months, but it happened at least 3 months ago. I wonder if this was a precussor of things to come.
Anyways, I checked the fuse layout and its definitely not a fuse. Also when I engage the driver side switch it sounds like electricity is being passed (makes a similar sound to passenger side, but of course no action). So now I am tempted to think either the window itself is off the runner or the motor is not engaging. Anyways, the dealership will have to figure this one out as I'm not popping open the door panel tonight.

Re: Anyone had problems with their window???

I had the same problem about a month and a half ago...
Dealer found it to be a faulty driver's side window regulator.
It's probably either the regulator or motor.
Just like you, my passenger's side worked just fine as well...but the driver's side quit on me. If they have the part in stock, they should be able to fix it in a couple hours under warranty.
