Or maybe what's wrong with us (the ones who don't drive her enough)?

Here's a pic after a complete cleaning yesterday:

To the guy that drives to school for 2 miles, I'm in high school as well and I drive about the same distance. Would it be as bad if I let the car warm up for a while and drive it to school?

I've had my car for about a week... and she's at 950 miles... 50 more miles to go and I'm red-lining that baby for the next tank of gas!! =D As for the look back effect... I still walkin' backwards away from the car when I park it... =)

Re: maybe i should drive my g more

I've got 9,000 miles on my G since taking delivery late October. I would like to keep the mileage lower but I have a hard time not taking the G every chance I get. When I go out with my wife, we have the choice of taking the G or her CR-V (soon to be replaced with FX35 for double dose of Infiniti FM fun ), and even though I'd like to save a few miles on the G, most of the time we end up taking the G anyway. I see the G as an exotic GT made to be driven daily. Why deny yourself the fun of driving it?

Re: maybe i should drive my g more

Picked up my new G on Saturday...Love it!

This has been a dilema for me as well. I have a 94 camry that I drive to the train everyday. I figured if I bought the car I would drive the camry most days to and from the train, with the hopes of babying the G. But whats the point then. I decided to lease the car, which would help me justify putting the miles on. Now I will be leaving the camry home for all but the worst of weather.

Life's to short. I think I made the right move.

Re: maybe i should drive my g more

actually today, i was glad i didn't drive my G in town.

picked up daughter from a friends house, made a turn to go to supermarket. little traffic ahead. cars in front of me stopped, i stopped, car behind me didn't. the driver (HS kid) said her foot slipped off the pedal as the sole of shoe was wet.

a fender bender with daily driver, didn't get too upset. if it was my G...

04 6mtC, DG - possibly most babied G on the board.

Re: maybe i should drive my g more

Drive your G as much or as little as you like. You paid for it. so it is your decision. I only drive mine on the weekends, no rain etc,. Any thing, despite how new or how much you like it will become ordinary with a lot of use. Familiarity breeds contempt is a true saying. So there are two different schools of thought. The one that says drive it till it drops and the other that says drive it sparingly. I have done both with different cars and get flak either way. So I make my own decisions about how and when I drive my G. I have 2000 miles on mine after 9 months. I just sold a 88 T-Bird turbo, that was driven very sparingly with 134,000 K. Because I drove the car sparingly, I got the new car feel each time I drove it right up until the day of selling it. I also got 3 times as much for it because of the condition and comparatively speaking low miles. So I enjoy my G whether it's sitting or whether I drive it. So do what makes you happy. You either own the payment booklet or the title.
