Ok I say to myself im a lil confused right now. It was either a 02 or an 03 cobra.. It might be a 03 cause it had the cobra wing. The one that is just a bump on the trunk. Or it might be an 02 as I didnt realy hear a SCer.. Now all I could realy hear as the car it was soooooooo loud!!! Ok so if thats not enough it had saleen side flares and rear bumper.. It had HUGE tires on it looked like cobra R rims. They must have been 285's. So we are both at a light. I looked over and he was just looking straight. So I didnt get the its on nod or even look.. So all of a sudden he revs his engine like hes about to launch. So I quickly try to get my revs up to like 2500 but I failed as the light changed so I launched from like 1300-1400..

Out of first we were dead even I switched in second and he did the same and took about 3/4 of a car and all I can say is how loud this car was. The race ended at about 70 ish. He was only a car ahead.. His rear to my front.. So from this I know this WASNT an 03 cobra..

So I raced an 02 bolt on cobra with huge tires.. He didnt have any people in the car but I did.. Over all I am very happy with the race as those cobras put like 280 down to the rear if not more with the bolt ons..

But at the time I WAS PISSED!!! I HATE TO LOSE!!!

I think I will get a NX kit to hold me off till im ready for the Vortec kit so I dont lose again

is'nt there a diffrence between the 03 regular cobra and the cobra-r.

yea MIXED why dont you get a G35 and then start talkin!!!! Dont listen to him. Wasn't it 325 hp for 02' and 385 for 03'+?

 

Regardless of what Mixed drives, he's right. If you think your NA V-6 is going to run even with a FI V-8 then you must hang with all of the civic and neon guys with big wings that try and race me daily.

OK seems we need a lil mustang 101 here...

02 mustang cobra. 4.6 L V8 320 HP N/A Dyno's about 275HP

03 mustang cobra 4.6 L V8 390 HP FI Eaton SCer 8 PSI about 360+ to the wheels as they under rate them..

02 mustang cobra R 5.4 L V8 385 HP have no idea about dyno.

All these cars are fast as hell.. But the 02 being the slowest. My car now is a lot faster then a 14.1 that I ran last year. I will being showing that on April 25 @ Atco. Mustangs arent the fastest things ever.. But then again it could of been a 99 cobra which Ford had problems with and where only dynoing at 240 HP or soo.. Im not lying, im not on drugs. But being on these forums as long as I have been I should know that people wont believe you and talk [censored]. Ohhh well I hope this story goes to the few good people out there which i see that it already did...

The '99 Cobra was also 320 hp. Some were slightly underpowered and there was a recall to get the hp up to spec. Stock, mine dynoed at 271 rwhp...

04, TB/W, Nav, Aero, 6MT, Z-tube/ZWT, etc...
