Possible Transmission Problem?
Possible Transmission Problem?
Ok, so I searched under every key word(s) I could think of and came up empty. So if this has been discussed, forgive me and you may just point me in the right direction, if not, any help is appreciated.
So the cause for concern is when I press the clutch down in first or second gear (first more so than second) while moving it gives off this higher pitched hum type sound. What could this be and would it be considered a warantee fix?

what rpms are you doing this at. The more rpms you're at when downshifting the more noise that will be made. If you are just sitting still and you get a hum when putting the car in 1st I have no idea what that is.

As for it being under warrantee, I will go and check it out with my dealer. I definitely do not ride the clutch and I sure as hell don't grind gears. I baby my car like you wouldn't believe.
Does anybody have an idea what the EXACT problem is that would cause this (someone that has possibly had this problem)?
maybe a throw out/pilot bearing or something along those lines...but without being able to drive/hear it myself im just guessing really......id just take it to the dealer, no sense in racking your head over it..... either A they will fix it for you, or B they will tell u whats wrong with it, with a quote...but either way u figure out whats wrong with it.... but if your under 70k it should be covered...
