OEM Front Lip Installation

Has anyone put on the front lip themselves? I have the instructions in front of me but its still confusing.

Would you recommend doing this install on a lift or is only raising the front enough?

Re: OEM Front Lip Installation

It's not as difficult as the instructions make it look. The instructions are very detailed and have a lot of steps (but detail is good!). Just follow them and you should be OK.

Basically you are just lining up the lip and bolting it on. So use the templates and line it up carefully. Also hold up the lipo to the car to double check before you drill holes. The rest is just bolting.
It will help a lot to at least get the front of the car off the ground as there are a lot of holes to drill & bolts to remove and reinstall under the car. I did not completely take off the whole under cover or the wheel well panels; I just took off enough bolts to pull them back for a little access. The hard bolts to get to are the outer bolts on the lip; but you can reach up from under the car to get to them. The inner bolts on the lip can be easily reached from the top or from the bottom with the under cover pulled back a little.
Good luck!
