Re: Clock

Agreed. I know some ppl complain about the interior in general but, I'm fairly satisfied with it and think for $35k, I'm getting my money's worth. Clock included. lol

Re: Clock

When i was first looking for G's I walked into a dealership and one of the salesman had the desk clock version of the clock. I saw it and said "damn that thing is pretty cool, I want one for my desk", then was surprised to see it in the car.

I love it. I think it looks tite.

Re: Clock

ease up on the guy. you guys on this forum are a trip! all he asked if there was anyone out there that knew of a digital replacement. damn. he didnt say he didnt like the g or its any less of a car. he just would prefer a digital one. i personally like the clock the way it is, but thats just my opinion. so if theres anyone out there that can help the guy just answer the question asked. i thought thats what this forum is for. and cut him some slack.

don't start no sh*t, won't be no sh*t!

Re: Clock

There is not a digital clock to replace that one.

The SKYLINE does not have a clock there at all. Too bad they are right-hand drive or you might have been able to order a new dash.

I, personnally don't like the clock either.

I considerd replacing it with a center channel speaker, but decided against that.

I found a company that makes round gages to fit the hole (sized top to bottom). So I am going to figure out a way to mount a boost gage (ala my 85 300zx turbo) when I finally install a supercharger.

There are alot of things that can be done there... just think custom.

Oh, and if you get an aftermarket stereo, it will likely have a clock, digital, built in.

Re: Clock

This thread has made me really rethink if I want the g35 coupe. If I am going to look at something on the g35 that I loathe with the deepest of hatred, then maybe I should cancel my order. Keeping in mind that I have researched and decided on this car in a span of 10 months, what a time to think about changing my mind.

Re: Clock

Dude, I realize he didn't say he didn't like the G however, he did say the following: "My G35 6MT is due in this weekend. I think the car is great except for the analog clock. The first time I test drove a G35 it was the only thing I didn't like." So yes, he did say he doesn't like the clock and we just commented on the analog versus digital. Sorry I didn't have an answer on a digital replacement and I didn't take offense to him not liking the stock clock. I was simply stating I like the clock and I believe forums like this allow those types of comments. I'm not giving him a hard time so don't imply something I'm not conveying. Thanks.

Re: Clock

I don't think anyone on the thread was attacking (at least I know I wasn't). I just took what he said and ran with it, discussing that I didn't care for the analog clock. Maybe I could stick a yellow-sticky note over top of the clock with the caption "Get a watch".

Re: Clock

I was all set to buy the best car in the $25000 to $45000 range when , after researching it for months, I never noticed the clock. When I went in to get the car I refused delivery based on that beautiful analog clock in the middle of the dash.

NOT!!!!

Does everyone read their posts before actually clicking "continue"?

Well you never realize how ugly it is until someone else says something. I always thought I was alone hehe.

Re: Clock

I have an analog watch, so the analog clock is ok with me. Neither hate it or like it. Would prefer if it had a more industrial look and maybe a bit easier to see at night (I realize that if it was much brighter, you'd see the reflection in your winshield). It's pretty easy to remove the clock, so I don't think it'd be difficult in replacing it with something else, the only hard part is finding something that fits there nicely.

Re: Clock

I've always liked the Infiniti clocks, but I have been shocked to meet a few young folks who had difficulty reading an analog clock. Evidently they grew up on digital ones and never really got the hang of the "hands" thing. I'm hoping that's not the case here...

Re: Clock

Re: Clock

Im only 20, and I admit, I do have to stare the extra second to pick up what time it is. I happen to like the clock too, and I get compliments about how nice it looks, yet most of my friends can never tell what time it is. =)
