Clock

My G35 6MT is due in this weekend. I think the car is great except for the analog clock. The first time I test drove a G35 it was the only thing I didn't like. Does anyone know of a mod such as a digital clock replacement.

Re: Clock

Most people here think a digital clock, makes the car look cheap and trashy....

You could find a seperate clock the fits and try putting in the same spot. Good luck...

You might not get an anwser?

Re: Clock

This is an easy one. Get NAV!

The NAV screen, when up, covers the analog clock and has a digital clock in the corner. Problem solved.

Otherwise you are kinda screwed. There is no replacement availible, as the clock is a signature Infiniti item. I have taken the clock out though, and I can tell you that it wouldn't be too hard to install a digital clock in the space!

Re: Clock

I like the clock.. It gives the car a unique touch. You could try putting a boost gauge in there for the TT you're gonna add... =D

Re: Clock

There was 1 model that Infiniti took the clock out. From waht I have read - they chalk it up as one of the biggest corporate mistakes. it is their trademark.

Re: Clock

I guess if using an older analog clock is their trademark, then that explains the styling of their sedan.

Re: Clock

I believe the sales numbers speak for themselves. Infiniti was not designed for kids. Which sedan are you talking about? The Infiniti lines currently includes 4 different sedans.

Re: Clock

I guess the "car of the year" thing was a mistake? I hope you are not comparing to cars that cost 20K more. The G35 coupe and sedan pack the most punch for the money of all cars in the price range.

Re: Clock

I think the clock is pretty classy myself. To each his own I guess.

Re: Clock

It doesn't take 20 thousand dollars to remove a clock from a dashboard and replace it with more dashboard.

Re: Clock

It doesn't turn per se, it turns slightly to the left or right 1-2mm clockwise or reverse, by holding it "turned" it begains to move, but you don't turn the dial mechanily with the little arm to match the turn motion in the clock hands.

I don't think yours it broken, unless you tried to turn it completely!!!

Re: Clock

Also, as you continue twisting the **** in the desired direction, I noticed it picks up a little speed so you're not waiting minutes to set the right time.

Re: Clock

I think the clock looks kind of Retro-Porsche. So does the body line of the car. I think that's what Nissan was aiming for with the clock.
