Interesting, searched and nothing...
I've been lurking for an in dash dvd (FLIP OUT) Unit for about 6 hours now. I've found 1 picture, is there a reason why everybody has the non flip out head units. Can someone provide some pics. It seems like the angle of the non flip out dashes makes visibility an issue.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm looking at getting either the avic n3 or avic n4, and I should have it installed by end of June, PICS WILL BE POSTED.

#1 reason: Because nobody wants to have a big blank space a single din unit would leave in our double din center consoles.
#2 reason: People stopped getting single din flip up monitors when they stopped making the Fiero.

Ooooooooooo, Thanks for the reply.
I just purchased a avic n3 with upgraded n4 software for a killer price.
I personally don't mind that extra space, more place to store junk.
I always like the option to conceal anything that I can, an open dvd screen is asking for theft. Anyways, I will post pics when install is complete, thanks a lot.
It blocks the climate controls also. Looks amateurish to me. If you are going to go through the trouble of purchasing a double din and going through the install, it should be done right the first time. I don't buy the theft argument either, a single din would draw just as much attention

hmmmm I for some reason can't argue the other way, I already purchsed the unit so well see how it looks when it's all set and done.
I do appreciate all comments, considering everything I still went with the single din. I guess you can say it looks "amateurish" but then again who's to say that the double din screen is "amazing". Either way they both get the job done and in the end it's all personal preference.

) arn't too big a deal. I guess there is a reason people go with double din (followers). I don't know, not trying to argue, just stating my opinion.Honestly the single din flip out screen has a "cool factor" to it as well, you can at least admit that? I don't know it's not like all luxury car owners who go aftermarket choose double din, I'm sure there are those with the flip outs. O well guess I'll just be the different G with a flip out dvd/navi...
^yeah flip outs are cool, but not when your car comes stock with a DDIN unit....if your car comes with a single din then put a flip out, in our case, in a G a double din looks far better than a flipout IMO it leaves it empty looking.
Single dins are cool basically the same thing, but looks wise.G=get a DDIN

here's my single set up,I love the set up.it's a kenwood xxv-05.I did'nt buy the aftermarket dd kit because they were backorder so I had the installer custom made this using my factory console.

WOW! thanks a lot for that picture, really helps. I'm going to post pics for sure, are you able to adjust the angle and tilt it. Anything you don't like about the flip out. By the way it looks good.
