Anyone remember back a couple of month ago there was someone who created a really progressive body kit design for the G coupe? The post morphed into someone Photo shopping various colors of the kit (4-6 different colors if I remember correctly). Well someone had a friend who was going to make this kit and they were asking for volunteers to give up their car to have this kit fitted/made.

Well what ever happened to the kit? I'm only interested because I'd like to compare the designers� original concept to the final product, but I'm sure there are others who would be interested in purchasing it if it turned out well.

Anyone remember what I'm referring to? I think the original design was done on a red coupe with heavy modifying of the lights, fenders, front and rear bumper, side skirts, etc...

the kit was gonna be modeled after the photoshop design. but as they were making the mold they decided to scrap it since other companies were makin bumpers that were similar in design to that picture. they are currently workin on a new bumper using my car. the kit will be made of urethane and will be priced very generously, unlike the $impul$ and other urethane kits.

i found a guy who's willing to make this complete kit out of urethane.un paint.meaning what you see is what you get.his price is $1600/kit. no less.he will need a coupe for 5/6 weeks to work on,when he's done,that kit is your free.here is the catch.he will need 20 peoples going for this with 30% deposit.he got a well establish shop here in socal.if you are interest in this,post your name here.

Whats that airscoop on the side? Is that to cool down the engine mounted in the rear? Maybe its to enhance the performance of the tires by cooling them down? Gotta be for the carputer in the trunk.

this is a guy who came to my work place and did the custom body work on my boss's car.
i only talked to him about 5 minutes.so not much in depth infomation here.one thing i know for sure is if there're not enough 20 guys he's not gonna do it because of over head cost.the reason i brought this up because i really want to see this concept come to life and also $1600 is pretty darn good for the whole kit in urethane.once we have 20 guys (18-19 in my mind).i will hook him up with you guys so you deal with him direct as far as deposit goes.

ZIPPIZIGGI77...it is a wide body kit.he said will add 2-3" per side.and will be about an inch lower than stock.headlights & top grilles are NOT include.

RANDY...he said what you see is what you get.and i see a front bumper,2 front fender flaires,2 side skirts,2 air scoop things on the doors and 2 rear fender flaires.so atleast 9 pieces that i see.

HIPHOPPRO...nothing on the back,but who knows.if we can get this going,may be we can talk to him for adding a rear spoiler or something.

keep in mind that the concept picture is computer genarated.in real life it got to be practical,funtional.so it might turn out slightly deference.for example the openings for the clear corners will not looks like that.

 

i likey! it looks good. i'd most deez be interested in that. too bad, it would cost a grip since i'm located in hawaii!

Don't even bother with it. It's never going to get made. I tried running a group buy to get a body kit made, but the simple fact is that its a logistical nightmare. First off, the kit costs a lot so there might be problems with trust. Second, no one knows how it will turn out. Third, you have to make sure you get the minimum number of people and that they stay with you until the end of production. It's a tough sell. I failed, but maybe you will win and become the next Apprentice.

Without the headlights/grill included I just cant see committing to it.
