3000GT VR-4
Was heading back home from the palmdale tracks and was on the 210 east freeway going about 75-80ish when I happened to pass a VR-4. All of a sudden, the VR-4 sped up right next to me and gave me the look. I normally would have just ignored him and continue driving at my speed but I always wanted to see how well I would do against one. Went from a 65mph roll and thought that I was going to get rocked. However, we both went up to about 120 and he was only about 2 cars ahead of me. I was surprised as I was expecting to be way behind. Anyways, we gave each other the thumbs up and went our separate ways.
P.S. Before anyone says anything about how bad street racing is...trust me, I know. But I'm sure many of you have made a high speed run late at night before. Btw, there were very little cars around. Flame on. =)

Re: 3000GT VR-4
I had a Vr4 those cars where fun
but i had it for like 5yrs and moved on to a G :-)
No G would beat a VR4 unless it was running like complete garbage. mine would run 12.8s all day long with minor mods and some good driving.

Re: 3000GT VR-4
I sold my 95 VR-4 for my G. They are definitely no joke with 320 bhp stock on a 3.0L TT V-6. They were quite heavy though with the AWD and AWS ... and if I remember correctly there was approximately 25% parasitic driveline loss due to the AWD (i.e. about 240 AWHP) whereas our RWD G's probably have closer to 15% loss (i.e. 238 RWHP).
It's quite weird to drive the G still where you don't get that kick in the pants around 3k rpm when the turbo's would spool

Re: 3000GT VR-4
the vr-4's also have a rear spoiler that moves when you go over 40 mph. the SL's don't. my dad has a 92 vr-4 and a neighbor has the SL. both in the same color. the things i notice right away are the rims (SL has smaller alloy and my dad has chrome 20"), the vr-4 badging, and the movable spoiler.
