Mod friendly Infiniti dealers NY/NJ?
hey,
i just bought a Borla cat-back exhaust for my new G35c 6MT as well as an INJEN CAI and was going to have them installed tomorrow. I called two dealerships in Westchester County NY and they told me that the engine warranty would be voided if I had a "performance" muffler installed.... Anybody know of any dealers that would not void the warranty if I had the Borla installed around NY/NJ? i was kinda surprised by that... i cant believe that all you guys that installed new exhausts, etc, would have the warranties voided.

This topic has come up before. Dealerships are stupid and don't know what they're talking about. Your warranty is only void IF the exhaust and/or air intake were the CAUSE of the problem to the vehicle. If you are running the Borla exhaust and the Injen CAI and your power seats stop working, they have to fix it under warranty as there is no relation at all. If you experience any kind of engine failure, unless the dealership can prove that the problem was caused by one of the aftermarket parts, your warranty is not void at all.
It also helps NOT to tell the dealerships that you have some aftermarket mods done. =)

just guessing, but i'd assume douglas infiniti in summit nj. they were the first dealer to discount the coupe (even mt's) and they have great customer service.

yes they did burn down but they relocated at their ford dealership nereby. i think they have 3 or 4 dealerships.
they were very helpful to me and a couple of others on this board. small dealership, but trustworthy and friendly.
