Thumbs down Goddamn manhole

Long story short, I ran over a manhole "thing" and as soon as I did, I heard a loud "CLAP". Sort of the same sound as you clapping your hands.

It sort of looked like this. (Except instead of dirt road, it was asphalt.)

My impulse tells me that there was no damage and the "CLAP" sound I heard was the same sound when you run over a sewer grate on the street or something.

So I cruised around the forums and found this post from "Dubfound" (look at Page 2 for pictures on the damage): https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/164470-i-driving-through-road-constriction-site-i-bottomed-out.html

Now here is a picture of my "whatever the hell you call it brace-thing" that Dubfound suffered... Doesn't look too bad....:

Now is the opening in the pipe here normal? (I'm guessing, yes)

After further research, I found out that the costliest thing that can happen is if the oil pan gets damaged. I understand it however that the plastic cover in the undercarriage protects the oil pan & oil filter. So if the plastic cover is ok, I should be good right? Heres how it looks. (Please tell me that hole is supposed to be there...

Now, last but no least, can anyone explain these holes?

Thanks! I maybe a bit paranoid, but this is my first "luxury"-class vehicle. Gotta be a bit more careful now.

judging by the under carriage plastic cover-thing, do you think I might have messed up the oil pan? (4th picture from the top) cant see any visible tears or what-not...

You should be good, but if you REALLY are second-guessing it just let the dealer have a look.

everything is fine... that brace thing is there to protect your gas tank and it seems like it did its job. Trust me, there are tons of people on here that have it a lot worse! you'll be fine.

Whats up man? It was funny I looked at the picture you posted and was like "that man hole cover claimed someone else too?" haha

Anyway I never replaced mine and no issues so far. It is an inexpensive fix like $200 installed.

Well mine doesn't look like that, but why would it matter what the under carriage looks like??? When have you heard someone say, "OHHHH nice car, oh wait your under carriage sucks..." ???
