Ripped leather
Ripped leather
can someone help - (already posted this in the Detailing and Eye Candy Info section, and i dind't get a reply)
I noticed a small tear in my leather seat today. And i was wondering if there was a way for me to fix it myself, without having to take it to a professional. And if i do, can you recommend one in the Baltimore/Washington area?
Thanks

Re: Ripped leather
hey that's exactly what happened to my car (mine also ripped in the perforated area). i doubt you will be able to fix it on your own, unless you have some skill at repairing leather. i took mine to a infiniti service and payed around 135. and it doesn't come out perfect, because its the perforated area. it still can be fixed pretty good though.........good luck
Re: Ripped leather
hey, you probably fixed your seat by now, sorry i forget which threads i posted on, anyways if you read this, i was told that just the bottom portion of the seat is over 1100. plus you have to take it to a trim shop to get it installed which will cost at least 300-400 maybe even 600-700. how did your repair go?
Re: Ripped leather
I called Infiniti to schedule an appointment. Nationwide Infiniti of timonium has the worst service. I called them 3 times and left messages, and i was never contacted. so when i went for my 3500 mile service the guy says, bring it in on wed. I haven't had a chance to go there yet.
what could cause a rip like that? I'm usually very careful not to have anythign in my pocket while i'm in my car. i'll let you know how the appointment goes.
