Yeah, that bike weighs roughly 400 lbs wet.

i researched it, there are a few hitches but the weight would be roughly 1000 pounds with all the gear and thats with a small trailer. In the end it's doable but i wouldn't do that to my transmission.

Your tranny should be fine. The weight of 3 adult passengers on a road trip with some luggage or stuff in the trunk is a good 700 to 900 pounds worth of extra weight not including the driver... and the tranny won't die from that. Most of the time, people have problems with trannys overheating when they're lugging huge 2500+ pound trailers for long periods of time and particularly if it's through hilly regions. Your car is a 6MT though.... so transmission heat is not an issue... it's the people with the automatics who have to worry about that.

The main issue of concern would be whether or not the trailer hitch and the cars suspension can support the trailers weight safely and also whether or not the brakes can support stopping the trailer(which they probably can since that same amount of weight can be stopped if it were in the car as passengers and cargo).

Someone wanted to see pics?????? I sensed some scarasim in that request.... BUT here you go... OH yeah, and about buying the SUV or Truck... WHY??? Why go in the debt of another vehicle, insurance, taxes, etc..... Put a hitch on the G and get 21+MPG on a trip with the bike in tow.

Tail of the Dragon....

find you a 90-91 Honda Prelude hitch... the width is perfect. Cut the ends and weld it in.

I hope my pics were enough for you. I would trailer my Bike with a Ferarri if I had one. Why waste the money of a truck and gas when a car works just fine.

I guess you mean the 4 cylinder Altima, because the new Altima V6 has the same basic engine as the non-RevUp G35 Coupes... only it's about 100 pounds lighter.

Bad analogy!
