Re: Regrets of Debadging??

I just debadged G35 emblem and dealer sticker, makes it more symmetrical, sleeker.

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

What is the best way to do this? I know people use floss or fishing line to pry off the emblem's. My problem is with the glue that is letf over afterwords. How do you get this off without scratching the paint. Does it have to be hot out or in direct sun light? Wet or dry or with glo gone or something?

Thanx in advance..

Same question here too. I'm debadging this weekend. Floss or fishing line and how do you remove any residue safely ?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

Get some 3M Adhesive remover, let it sit for 30-45min before you start rubbing away, I learned the hard way i rushed it and got some surface scratches.

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

I removed mine with dental floss and a hair dryer - worked like a charm. Any excessive glue left on the trunk lid, just warm it up a bit more and "roll it off" with your fingers or a damp cloth. You can polish the area if desired and that's it - You G is debadged !

"regrets of debadging".........sounds sooo serious......

It is not like getting drunk and waking up with a tatoo that says MOM on your ***.......

If you have "regrets".....you can go to the dealer and get brand new ones for under $50.00....and put it back like it was!

WD-40 will also break down the glue. I then used my fingernail to scrape off the foam and glue. Finish with Mother prewax cleaner, sealer, and then wax. It took me 15 min at the most.

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

Does anyone have a picture of the rear end with just the infiniti emblem excluding the G35 and Infiniti Word? I am going to have the dealer (free of charge) do this when I pickup my ordered 2004.

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

If you take an orbital buffer with some good meguirs pro polish and take your time the shadows will go away...they apply a couple of coats of a good sealant...i like liquid glass...the shadows are gone and everything is evened out...the hardest one to get rid of is the huge infiniti logo...just dont rush it and it will turn out fine

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

I've never understood why a person would put "skyline 350gt" badges on. It reminds me of high school when kids would put turbo stickers/emblems on their cars that weren't turbo'd.
