Re: Regrets of Debadging??

The Infiniti logo alone in the center looks great.

My badges are still on but who knows what the future might hold for my G.

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

Comparing rebadging skyline 350gt on infiniti g35 with putting turbo stickers on cars with no turbo just show that you have exactly no knowledge in JDM market. Infiniti G35 in its original form is a Skyline 350GT, same chasis, same engine, same light, same exterior, the only difference is maybe the emblems, clear corners...etc. This has been discussed for a long time. Rebadging it basically transform a USDM car to a JDM car. (Sort of like rebadging RSX to Integra) While putting turbo stickers on non-turbo'd car is like putting M3 on a 325, that's an totally different story.

Anyways, go with what you like, if you don't like it in the end you can always go back to infiniti dealership and get a new set of emblems.

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

Debadging:

What works is this:

Blow a hair dryer(or heat gun) onto the emblem you want to remove for a few minutes. Pull the emblem off. You may have to twist a little to do this. Heat the glue again. Rub the glue off with your fingers by "rolling" back and forth. This takes a few minutes and you will burn your fingers a bit. It leaves no scratches, shadows, or marks of any kind. I know this works because I followed some of the other suggestions when I removed the "infiniti" badging and got shadows and slight scrathches. I used my method on the "G35" badge and there is not even the slightest hint that there was ever anything else there. I did this about 4 months after purchasing my black coupe.

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

Im just curious as to why some of you want a nissan badge on this car. That's like buying a lexus and putting a toyota badge on. It kills the "luxury" aspect of this vehicle imo.

Could comeone possibly explain to me why you would want the badge of a non luxury moniker on your vehicle? Why not just represent the car as part of the luxury brand as it was meant to be in the US?

Roller_G: Damn Shimmy Sham, your G is beautiful!! One of the nicest I've seen. Good work!!

neohh, or Mr. Anderson, or whatever: The comparison is trying to make a car into something it is not. The G35 is an Infiniti USDM car, it is not a Nissan JDM car. BTW, if you're going to say a person has "no knowledge" you might not want to follow it up by using the term "anyways".
<hr>
All that aside I do understand the point of making your car unique and expressing your enthusiasm for the car itself. The mod of rebadging the G into a 350GT is not one that I understand, but then again I apparently have "no knowledge".

Re: Regrets of Debadging??

I dont consider a nissan "sportier" than an infiniti. Nissan says "family car" to me and infiniti says "luxury car" imo. To each his own though. I just think changing badges is not something to do on a $30K car. Maybe a civic or eclipse, but i consider this car to be a class higher than that. Just my opinion of course.

You forgot that the JDM model is RHD.
