the VQ does sound lovely. does VTEC still have that nasty sound? Had this screaming noise like a belt slipping or a cat getting choked.

Don't know. My last Accord was a 92, it predated VTEC of any kind. Never had the pleasure.

Gbech is right about the engine designs. Part of it is preference and part of it is engineering. The VTEC Technology tha honda uses on those cars relies on higher RPM's for higher HP but the torque sucks. Just like the S2000 you have to keep the engine at a consistantly higher RPM for it's useable power band to be exploited. Higher your dealing with older and new technology. That gives a total performance experience. I have been in both vehicles and my opinion is that even the CL-S is for grampa. The car only gets fun at higher RPM's but still doesn't kick you in the pants like the G. I was gonna purchase one until I looked at it and test drove it. It's basically a yawn and the seats are not even close to the G35. The 330CI was the only thing close but too much $$. I'm icthin to go to that Acura site and post a response but I know I'll get jumped on for it. G35 drivers have nothing to worry about trust me. Now I feel the need to go spank a CL-S driver, peace.

Check the stats for the '03 G35 and the '03 CL-S Manual.
In this case the G35 is just a little faster so most of it would probably be the skills of the driver. But we all know what I think of CL-S drivers. heh.
