Modifications

I just got a 2005 G35 6MT. What are the best modifications I could do my self that are inexpensive. I was thinking a throttle body spacer, intake (no name brand off ebay), and an exhaust in a couple months when I can afford it.

Do not buy a no name brand off of e-bay for $10. Buy a real one for 150-250 If you want to see any perfomance gains + reliabilty.

MREV 2
Spacer
Exhaust
Sway Bars
Z-Tube
A lot more, depends on what your looking for.

Ok lol thats what i was confused about. there is a section i just read either here or on the my350z.com that mentioned about warranty. Basically the dealership by law has to prove the failure was a result from the modification.

so if i put an intake and exhaust on the car the dealer has to prove that the failure was caused from one of those. i was also wondering if there is a new boot i could get if i were to buy a shirt shifter. is an obx throttle body spacer worth buying for $63 and could someone send me a repair/service manual for a 2005 G35 coupe 6MT?

Dont sell your self short with parts from ebay that arent well known. Pay the extra money to get good parts from reliable companies.

Search is our friend, you can find everything under search. But I hope this is what you were looking for.

I believe so, I have a pop charger intake, and i took it for an inspection after i purchased my car, and they didn't say a word to me about it. the only thing he asked me was, "where did you tint your windows?"

And +1 on not buying stuff off ebay. Totally not worth it.

i just did popcharger/ztube and the growl when the air flows is greatly improved and more sportscar-ish. i also put on hotchkis swaybars and the handling is tighter, a bit less understeer set in the middle but i havent really fooled around with the adjustment yet. both great mods and they were both easy to install myself.

BEST MODS IMO

These would look best on a Black on Black Coupe. Most are cheap or Do it yourself.

Cosmetic
JDM Clear Corners, with 4 black diagnol lines going down it evenly.
DIY Black headlights.
Paint OEM grille black or buy custom.
06 Projectors
03-05 wing
20% tint
Lip
Rims
Debadge however you like.

Engine
JWT Pop Charger/ Z-tube or Cold Air Intake
1/2" Plenum Spacer
Exhaust
MREV2
High Flow Cats

Handling
Sway Bars
Camber
Drop
Upgraded tires(ex. Michlen Pilots)
Cross-Drilled Rotors
Custom Brakes, if Brembo isn't already on.

All of those are realtively cheap. I'm sure I'm forgetting some. Do your research before you buy any of these, find out what brand and type is the best bang for the buck.

And F/I if your willing to pay and accept the risks.
