2003 G35 Coupe 5AT

Hello, I am looking at a G35 as the title says. It is a 2003 G35 5AT has 78,000 miles, aftermarket 19 inch rims, cold air intake and custom grill. The car is in very good shape. No scratches and seems well taken care of. Only premium gas and synthetic oil ran in it. It is the Carribean blue color. He is asking 16,999. Does this seem like a reasonable price? Also he said he see's about 20MPG in city. Does that seem possible? Thanks for all your help in advance.

Sounds like a good deal. Depending on how you drive, I'm getting about 21-22mpg with a mix of 80% city and 20% highway.

Well lets just say when the car came out the window sticker had an 18 MPG rating in the city. Thats when the car is in brand new tip top shape... The car now has over 70K miles on it... That means the car is not in the same shape it was when it was new... He has an intake so rule of thumb there is that he drives it harder than usual.. That lowers the MPG.

Last, 20 MPG in the city would equal to 400 miles a tank.. Check out the gas threads on here.. Some members are even struggling to get 300 miles per tank. Even if you are slightly off from driving like a grandma with this car then your gas mileage will suffer.

At best with all out grandma driving I get about 16-17 MPG in the city. Highway MPG is not too shabby for this car.

400 miles a tank would be running the car to empty with no gas left i get any where between 22-24 miles per gallon driving about 50% city and 50% highway and thats shiffting at 3000rpm u can get that millage as long as u dnt drive like a mad man lol and my 03 as 50k on it
