hey guys, im looking at buying a 2003 OB 6mt with navi with 30,000 miles, and i noticed the center console in it is different from other 03s i have been in. is there a reason for this?

 

early model 03's have no armrest and a different console design (same as older 350z) with no cupholders and different placement of seat heating switches. The 2003.5's have the center console armrest, the japanese didnt like it I guess. You can get the updated console new from I think grubbs performance for about $175. If its worth it just get the 03, and upgrade it.

To swap the later center console in to the early 03 what labor is involved? All i could figure is that i might need to extend the heated seat buttons. Is there anything else? Thanks for taking the time to read this it is really appreciated. I have been searching for a while and your post has been all i could find.
