I started a thread on this a while back. I drive an 03 5at and the shifting on my car in manual mode is instant. I can shift right at the red line and not bump the limiter. I love auto. My last car was a 328is manual and I just got tired of it. I think the manual mode is pretty good in the AT G's. It also allows you to take it much closer to the redline. I noticed in full auto floored the car still shifts about 3-4 hundred RPM sooner than it needs too. Manual Mode FTW!!!!!
