VDC off, and manual GT. Off the line what is the outcome of that race to 100MPH, in AT MODE(not MM) for the coupe

 

You might want to use MM mode; that will give you a better chance... It will be very close off the line (a drivers race). The Mustang has a bit of an advantage because of its torque. You have less margin for error. Up to 100 howver the Mustang will very slowly begin to pull away if you both drive the cars to their potential.

If he doesn know how to shift well...you will beat him...I would say to leave it in auto mode ,it will shift at the right time at WOT . Might want to reset ECU before hand , so your tranny will shift more agresively

you should not have a problem beating him. most street drivers do not know how to launch their car correctly and with the amount of torque and the fact that our cars are rwd, you should be able to hang with him out of the hole. i've beaten 2 mustand gts (02-03 manual and auto) by 1- 1 1/2 cars. It would probalby be better to race him on a roll though.

 

how many hp do mustang GT's have? are they V8's?

 

MM > D....unless your a 5AT driver I don't expect you to understand. Most of the power seems to be in the 3rd gear 4,000rpm + range. Though WOT does hit the higher RPM's on 1st and 2nd, it completely misses and shifts to early from 3rd to 4th.

the hin, I had a guy in a GT call me out on my last visit to LACR (lacr.net) and I smoked him by 3 car lengths. I might have the video soon if my friend got that race. I do have a 6mt, but that shouldn't matter much. Keep the revs high on launch and you should be victorious! G on!
