vote for the most usless accesory in the coupe
Re: vote for the most usless accesory in the coupe
One more vote for the removable armrest cupholders. I actually use the door cupholders and the sunglass holder. Another useless item for me is the lower sliding cover for the moonroof since I leave mine open all the time.

It's useful when parking outdoors on a hot sunny day. It reduces the heat buildup ("greenhouse effect") in the interior, especially with the graphite leather.

One of the most useless things in this car is the agreement page on the Nav system that you have to agree with EVERY TIME you start the system. How about a "Don't show me this message again" option??

Noooo, that's one of my favorite things. The cellphone charger and cell phone can hide away neatly in the console, no wires drooping all over.
The 'signature' analog clock is pretty worthless to me, fortunately covered up by the navi's digital clock.

Re: vote for the most usless accesory in the coupe
I have to say the MOST USELESS is that piece of junk they called the rear center console. Now I have to custom make a cushion to replace it. It's too high to sit on, too low to be an armrest, I suppose you can put a box of tissue on it, but I'd rather it's not there at all.
Re: vote for the most usless accesory in the coupe
My sunglasses fit perfectly - Oakley C Wires; I've only used the card holder at parking garages. My 7 year old uses the open space in the back console to store his toys/books, etc. I haven't figured out what I want to use the empty space where the NAV system would be. My cd's slide around too much in there. Maybe I need to make a custom holder that fits in there. So, until I do I'd have to say that is the most useless thing to me.

Didn't think about that one. I park at a garage at work, and it hasn't gotten that warm her yet. I'll keep that in mind as the summer approaches. Thanks.

Re: vote for the most usless accesory in the coupe
My understanding is that there are two functions for it:
1) In certain regions there is a lot of variance between magnetic north and geographic north, so the comp switch is used to calibrate your zone. I think the owner's manual explains how to do this and gives a map of the zone regions in North America.
2)Sometimes the compass gets locked onto the wrong direction (like if you put a magnet near it or if you're near a big transformer station)... then you hold that button for 10 seconds and it starts blinking -- meaning it has been reset.
(But I've never actually used this button, so someone can correct me if I'm wrong...)

Re: vote for the most usless accesory in the coupe
Good point! I dunno?
lol, maybe some people just don't want to know where they're going... so they turn it off?
(I have no idea... like you said, maybe they should have just called it a reset button)

The only thing I could think was that people didn't want to see the letters spinning by real fast after they turned off the VDC...;-)

By the way, it isn't a tampon, it is a maxi pad. (I hadn't even looked in the first aid kit, so when you said that I laughed and had to check it out.) My boyfriend says that they should have condoms in there for guys and the maxi pads for the girls.
