My Coupe gets me out of a ticket.
Second time this car has gotten me out of a ticket. To make a long story short skip to the end.
Combination of a 0-60 in what seemed like 2 seconds
and an illegal lane change caused an officer of the law to use his siren and his lights to stop me before I made it to the highway.
I looked in the rear view and I thought "Can't be me". The cop looked like he was chasing bank robbers when I saw him screaming towards me in my rear view swirving in and out of lanes. I gave him the license and registration, 10 minutes later he comes back and tells me how I could have gotten a $350 ticket.
He asks me about my car. Tells me how hes never seen something "get up there and get on it so quick". Asks me if i want to trade....."i can speed in mine but I'd still rather have yours" he says and then sends me off with a friendly warning.
65 in a 50 = $150
Illegal Lane Change = $150
Seat Belt = $50
Insurance Surcharges = $200 year.
I will never speed again..!!!!!!! this would have been strike three in one year which would have resulted in traffic school or loss of license.

I'm going to not say anything negative-- except this. Seatbelt?? You weren't wearing your seatbelt?? That's a ticket I'd never let anyone out of.

GeoBau, like you, I am a big fan of wearing a seatbelt. I don't move an inch until I have my seat belt on, but I don't think wearing your seat belt should be the law. It's like smoking or drinking...you have the right to take the risk.

People derive joy from smoking or drinking... not wearing a seatbelt, though, is sorta plain silly. Wear it for a week, and you never even notice it's there. I'm all for chlorinating the gene pool, but I guess I hold people on the site here to a higher standard [img]/w3timages/icons/blush.gif[/img]

Yah I'm not in the habit of wearing the seat belt (bad habit), and I should have thrown it on before he came but I was sooooo nervous. You should have seen him in my rearview, I felt like I was on some sort of "Wild Police Chase".
It must have been two blocks from where I pulled out that he clocked me doing 65 so I was already thinking about my arguments in court. I can't say I wasn't going that fast though, I remember having a nice smirk on my face right before I heard the sirens. And also I smelled the worst smell....guess thats what I get going WOT all the way. Anyone else get that goosebump/giggly feeling when their G starts to get going?
I'm going to scan the warning and use it in my sig

Yeah I get that feeling, but it is usually when I'm on a closed drag strip, not on the city streets.

This is the second time by the way. Another time I got pulled over testing the g's twisties ability on a road leading out of the mall. He asked me whe I bought and then asked me if was "testing her out". He then started to ask for specs.
No more speeding in the G. In a year she won't be a novelty and the tickets will start sticking.
The two tickets I got in the car before were from speed traps, and I was literally 1 of about 60 in both cases all lined up on the side of the road.
