My car will smoke the tires with the AT. Hold the brake and the gas down, when the tires start to spin let go of the brake for a sec then push back down. Or you can buy something called a linelock which with the flip of a switch you can lock the brakes on just the front wheels..

Non-summer tires are much easier to spin.
I had 17" RE92a's on my coupe, and could spin them no problem with minimal brake torquing.
Damn, seems like everyone responded before I got a chance!!! I used to have an 04 g35 auto, but I spent a ton of money to swap a 6 speed in. (Too much power for that POS auto tranny). I did however take my car to the track many times with the auto. Smoking the tires is pretty easy, just make sure your VDC is off.
Hold the brake down, and apply gas. You'll start smoking up your tires in a matter of seconds. More gas = more smoke. Then take off. Watch it though, you might get squirrelly when you take off.
I feel your pain on the auto though.
P.S. Autos can be a lot of fun. I was running mid 13's with my tranny, even though it was bouncing off the rev limiter before I hit 5k rpms. Damn you Nissan for building weak autos!

Geez. Take it easy Francis - it was a joke.. Most people who ask "how do I smoke the tires" are in their teens and don't normally reference being a "good driver" in the same breath.
It struck me as funny is all. If you think this was someone "pooping on your parade" I apologize, but I was hardly harsh - I merely asked a question.

What kind of power are we talking about Citco? There are a few guys here with very powerful Gs that swear by the 5AT. I have no issues with mine..

Nissan units are great!
I find it really easy to burn out in my 05 AT, and i have brand new tires....VTC off, Apply your break hard, accelerate till you start to spin and let go. Anytime I do that My tires smoke for about 10-20 yards. Then look behind you and all you will see is smoke....But make sure you dont let go till you already see some smoke coming from behind

you wont necessarily burn out but you will at least chirp them. you can try pushing it higher for better results. this is what most 5at guys use for the drag strip. if you're looking to go fast then you dont want too much spinning. if you just want to have fun, use an empty lot when its wet. or just wait til your tires are near bald and let loose.

I think he said it was a 6MT...
just rev it up a bit and let the clutch come out while it is under load...good way to burn up your clutch, but hey if you want to look "cool"

I can't believe this is actually a repost within the last couple of months...someone else asked this exact same question not too long ago.

That would be so much fun though.
