hey guys, maybe someone can help me with my car problems. I have a 03 coupe and the doors wont lock or unlock. Like, the car accepts the remote, because when I press the lock on the remote, it still honks, and when i unlock it still flashes the lights. When i unlock/lock i can see the locks inside the car twitch like it wants to move, but it doesn't. I thought maybe the motor is jammed/dead, but the thing is it happens to both the driver and passenger door. Anyone ever heard of this problem before?

OH. and one time I kept pressing the lock like.. 20 times and it actually locked the car. but only that 1 time. it doesn't work anymore.

 

Sorry to say but this is a normal problem....

My 2003 g35 coupe just had its driver door lock motor changed. I think it is $135 for the motor alone, not including labor.

Dealership tech said this is a normal problem with our cars. My passenger side is slowing dying as well, but I only changed the driver door for now. I am waiting for it to not work completely.

 

same issue with both locks, only reason i dont delete the keyhole.

 

Yeah I am having the same issue with mine, but just my drivers side. Been way too lazy on fixing it.

 

just bought the driver side door lock from metro infiniti. 186 not including tax. Started taking apart the door today, will finish by tomorrow and if all goes well, then I need to buy the passenger side aswell.. :/
