Guys I Need Your Help..Quick Responses Please

Alright so here's the deal. I've been working on getting this 2003 Carribean Blue 5AT G35. Its got 78,000 miles on it, but has an Injen cold air intake and 19" deep dish wheels. The car is in very good condition only one little scratch. The guy wants 16,500 without warranty or 17,200 with 100,000 mile warranty. I've got the loan all ready and stuff, but now another option came into play....

There is 2003 Black 5AT G35 with 64,000 miles all stock with 100,000 mile warranty. Its from a dealership, they said they will sell it for 16,500 OTD. The thing is it has alot of little scratches where they used touch up paint. You can only tell if ur up close but it still bothers me. Now I need your opinions on what I should do. Thanks in advance.

PS: I need to decide by tonight or tomorrow. Thanks

If you buy one from a private seller with a warranty, I would make sure it's a factory extended warranty. Either way they're not bad deals, I paid $22,500 for my 03 6mt with 17k miles, from an Infinity dealer, and got the 5 year, 80k mile extended warranty. Haven't had any issues with it yet, had it almost a year and have put 10k on it.

How bout some opinions....?

What it comes down to is which car do YOU like best. All the scratches on
the OB coupe would bug me unless they would have it painted for the same
price. I would run a CARFAX on both vehicles to find out what history they
have, that could help you with the decision. You don't want a car that's
been in an accident and the CARFAX with show that....G/L

Hey, already did carfax. Both are clean. Forgot to mention, the Black one comes with an extra set of rims and tires for winter. The Black seems like such a better deal, but I love the look of the blue. The Black one was owned by an older man, and the blue one is owned by a 25 y/o. So I have a feeling the blue one may have been beat on.

I would get the Black 5AT. It's cheaper with less miles, and comes with a warranty. Sure it has some scratches, but you can probably spend a few hundred bucks and get em professional buffed out, and some clear coat put on. If you've got cash in hand, you should be able to talk the dealer down a little bit more on that price, knowing that the price is probably marked up 8%-15%. See how low he is willing to go. Also with the black, its like a clean slate, you can put whatever mods you want on it. Maybe you think Injen intakes or those wheels suck. Black is also alot easier to accessorize.

In the end it's all up to you. They both sound like nice deals. me personally would probally go with the one from the dealer because if anything is wrong you can always take it back and not have to worry about what was done to the car.

I just got into my 07 OB coupe 3 months ago.... you say scratches but for me even the little swirl marks in the paint drive me crazy! I spent $200 on a detail and the car looked perfect.... smooth, absolutely amazing. Then I took it to dealership for an oil change, asked them not to wash it and.... you guessed it, they washed it anyway! Now swirl marks are back and again, driving me crazy. I intend to keep good coat of wax on the car, wash it every other week (garaged 70% of the week) and have had it polished 4 times so far. The polishing doesn't really do much for me, it was the high speed buffing that really brings the car to life. I love the Black ride, but it is a lot to keep up with! Nothing looks cleaner than a well kept Black G, but if you slip on keeping it up, it will look like SH**! Good luck!

its tough to decide. If it was me after many experiances from last second decisions i would wait.
seems your price range is 17k or so. Being patient will get you a better deal in the long run.

you just might find something that falls between both the cars your looking at.

Weigh the pro's and con's from your perspective and make the decision.

i just picked up an '03 OB 6mt coupe. it had swirl marks on it. purchased the mequires deep crystal 3 step wax and got rid of all the swirl marks...i only used step 1 and 3 because it takes longer than expected to wax a car lol...still looks deep black and it sticks out from everyone else's car on the street shine wise...but it is pretty hard to keep it clean. there's pretty much always some dirt on it unless its the day of washing but it still shines through...that wax is definately recommended.

my opinion....waittttttttt and get a manual...they are faster and easier to have fun with..that being said sedan drivers this is my opinion dont burn me

i bought my 03 from the dealership for 17995 out the door with the factory warranty up til i believe 70k and they wanted 22995..so def dont listen if they say they wont go any lower..find out how long they have had the car on the lot that can play a big role in if they are willing to negotiate...lastly black cars are sick...i just have two other ones or the my g would be
