Buying a G35 tell me what to look for...

Hey guys-

I've been looking around for information but I want everything to be cleared up. My buddy is going to buy a 03-04 G35 Coupe with a 6 Speed. He wants the car with brembos, LSD rear and heated leather seats. What options do we need to look for to make sure the car has the LSD shy of jacking the rear up or doing a burn out.

Also, any issues he should be looking for while looking at cars. Any recalls? Common problem areas? Anything specific to the 03-04 G35 Coupe with 6mt?

Thanks!
Ben

Because doing that is about as helpful as as telling me to search when I already have. I am getting a ton of threads filled with different information about things I don't care about. I would prefer just to hear it from owners who have the car.

I wish more online communities were willing to help outsiders, instead of being elitist a**holes.

get an 03.5 or 04 since 03 was the first year the G came out in and I think the 04 fixed a couple problems with the 03.. not sure though since I have an 05

heated seats i think is premium package and the LSD i think is on all models? i may be wrong as well

elayman-

Thanks. Yes, I understand that concern he is going with those years because it's his first real purchase since he aquired his first "big boy" job after graduating in May, and those years are the most affordable. That being said the brembos and the LSD are worth paying a bit more for IMO. But we will keep the late 03s and 04 in mind. Thanks!

They are willing to help... but not with the same questions that get asked at least 3-4 times a week. I just purchased exactly what your looking for and i READ tons of threads using the search fuction and helped me make my decision. You want others to do the work for you when the information is there you just are too lazy to go read it. And with your responses you shouldnt take them so seriously, its the intarweb... it will be okay.

yes brembos came on the 03-04 models with 6mt.. although they removed them in the later years, they did add the rev-up engine pushing the horsepower to like 296 i believe.. thats only on the 6 speeds as well.. i understand the newer models aren't the most affordable but they are under warranty and may be cheaper in the long run, as brembo pads and rotors are pricey to replace, as well as other unknown problems that could possibly be covered under warranty

i dont get why you guys have to even click on the thread if you know the questions have been asked so many times.. some people have searched and can't find what they're looking for, as our search feature is not very user friendly.. if you don't like being asked the same question, dont even open the thread to read it..

Thanks man! I am a N3WB on here but I have several thousand post on several other car forums of different sorts. Most search functions are not user friendly. If I had a questions about the best CAI or exhaust I would never post but I am just trying to figure out how look for a LSD which is something alot of sellers are going to even know is, much less if their car has one.

Anyway, thanks for the help elayman, and sorry for the inconvenience to everyone else
