making a mods grocery list for my '07 coupe

So I picked up my new '07 OB coupe this week and Im making a grocery list of what beggining mods I should do, and the order in which to do them. I currently have an aftermarket sterio that my Girlfriend gave me, which I took out of my old car before selling it, and I wanna put that into my G asap. I also got a garmin gps nuvi 200 that I plan on instlalling into the NAVI cubby below the clock. for the performance mods and remaining stuff, this is what i came up with:

Mods order:

Garmin GPS install in navi cubby
JDM Double Din head unit converter for aftermarket sterio (preordered)
Gordee’s 10pt grounding kit ( essential for a 5AT imho)
Motordyne 5/16 copper ISO plenum Spacer
Stillen CAI + Ztube kit

I'll do the double din sterio and gps at the same time probably since they require me taking out and swapping the head unit anyways and I already have most of the parts. everything in total comes out to about $700.00 ish if I pay retail which seems like a good start. Anything that you guys would reccomend before I do these? they seem to be the most basic starting mods arorund the forums. after this I'll move on to exhaust, wheels, visuals etc.

Then how did you afford an 07? Why didn't you just go with an 06 or lower if your on the tight of a budget haha

EDIT: if your into it, I would work a little on the exterior, like maybe look into painting the wheels or grill if your not going aftermarket and wanna stand out, or JDM clearcorners.

i can only assume that this car was a gift (since you obviously cant afford it on your income)... nonetheless, clear corners are the first things i'd swap out (and it's one of the cheapest mods you can do)... good luck with the car and post some pics when you've completed the radio/gps...

he said $450 a month + insurance, not $450 for insurance..

OP,wait... you have a 5AT???

please tell me you have the 19's... if not then the 17's would be the first thing to go.... a drop soon after.. tints if you don't already have them..

Subscribed.... I have the K&N drop in... not a bad addition, let me know how the CAI works for you... Clear Corners are good... for all you that may know, the lights in my clears are still amber, is that required and opinions on going clear with the lights as well?

thanks for the advice guys. I actually didn't recieve this car as a gift, been saving for a year or so to finally get my G35. reason why I went with the '07 and not an earlier model is b/c it was approx $6k more but 50k miles less. the residual value in 3 years will be more than what I would be able to sell an '03 for once it is over 10 years old. so the '07 is a better choice in terms of future worth. plus the '07= more sexy . I basically just had to put like 9grand down then finance the rest and enslave myself financially for the next 5 years HAHA but its worth it for a G.

well said... and apparently you have given enough thought (and hard work) to your decision for the 07, now enjoy it... let the modding begin...

get some used 350z h-techs for like $100 and look for a set of used wheels for around $1500... then tint for like $150

clear corners depend on if the cop wants to get you.....you can still be pulled over for amber lights even though they are in because they give off more light now that they are clear..in my opinion they do not blink so they should not have to b amber....that said i have clears and white lights let the traffic stops begin

i feel where your comin from on the income, im 20 also and have to pay 415 a month plus insurance, most that you have planned seems like a waste of money (to me) i'd rather get it looking good on the outside, THEN do other little things, i applaud you on having an 07 instead of an 04 like me.. good luck on your mods, keep us updated!
