Re: best wing spoiler

Of those three choices:
IMHO, the Gialla's the classiest and most respects the lines of the car, especially where the rear quarter panels meet the trunk... the data sytem is okay... don't like the Impul.... but my preference is still the stock spoiler.

I'd be curious how each of those spoilers affects performance/ wind tunnel tests etc.
I know the stock cuts the G's drag coefficient down to 0.28 from 0.29 without the spoiler.

Plus just looking at those 3 choices, you can tell that the stock spoiler would be the one that produces the most downforce over the rear wheels, followed by the data system.

The Veilside would actually give the most downforce, but that monster wing is a whole different ballgame looks-wise... plus too much rear wing (esp with fat back tires) and the G's going to understeer way too much at the limit.

Re: best wing spoiler

I'm wrestling with same spoiler decision.
I think the OEM is just too big of a tea tray.
Looks good from some angles but not others.

I really like the simplicity of the Gialla, except I wish it was flatter accross the top. I've only seen a cheesy pic, but I think it makes the back end look a little too rounded.
Anyone got any good pics???

Re: best wing spoiler

A while back, wasn't there a thread about fitting the BMW M3 or M5 lip spoiler on a G35 Coupe? What ever happened with that?

Re: best wing spoiler

A couple of guys have done the M3 Urethane lip spoiler on the back with little if any modifications. Still not enough of a spoiler to my tastes. I am in the same boat as you, in that I like the size and heigth of the stock spoiler but its just a little too flat for the big **** of our G's. Still looking.

Re: best wing spoiler

I personally like the nismo spoiler the best. I don't like the stock spoilers, its just a piece of board stuck to the back. The car looks great without one too.

Re: best wing spoiler

metasystem i'm sorri but u could not have been MORE wrong,

Veilside has already said that their G35 Wings do ABSOLUTELY nothing to help the car with (down force) at all, it's just for looks.

...oh, did not know that.
Who the hell would buy it for looks?? It's ugly IMHO and adds needless weight.

Here is a pic of my nismo spoiler, not many people have it, it was gift from someone, wasnt crazy about it at first but it grew on me alot and compared to other aftermarket spoilers out there I think this is one of the best....
