Has anyone had trouble matching your ivory pearl color. i got a roof wing painted and it seems to dark. i went off the vin and mix what they said?

Its hard to match paint with just the paint code, they sometimes need your car there to "eye" the paint and make sure it looks the same as your car.

You will notice that even the factory couldn't match the color when they painted the front and rear bumpers

as the other members already said it is nearly impossible to paint the tone 100% similar to the oem paint.My passengers rear side was already painted because of a accident and it is lightly more white then the rest.but I can live with that.

it can be done

had my ip front bumper and hood repainted by AJ USA in san diego and they did akiller job. it seems to be about getting the three coats right ..white/pearl/clear.. can't tell they painted at all. also, it helps to have a real pro do work like AJ USA. remember you get what you pay for.

find a good shop that will do it over and over untill they get it right - they painted my spoiler 3 times before we were happy with it

finding a good shop with a good reputation (whose work you can see) is key to getting a good match... and if they initially seemed concerned about getting a good match for IP, then you should keep looking... good luck...
