Electrical Problems.......

So I am having some shortages. The main problem is that all the buttons on the dash from the stereo and the air conditioning went out and what happens is the air conditioning automatically goes to auto a/c and I cant shut it off. I pulled the fuses just to stop the blower but I need to know how I can temporarily shut off the a/c until I can get it serviced. Is there any thing that I can unplug or disable in the engine bay to stop it from coming on?I would love it if someone could help, I would really appreciatte it

I thought this had something to do with a circuit board that goes bad. I believe it is the Audio Finisher circuit board problem. Good luck with that I think it is very costly to replace. Please someone confirm me on this one.

From: Bay Area, Ca.
Just happened to ours tonight.
It'd be nice if this was covered under warranty.

This has recently happened to me and since my A/C settings were set on full blast being that it was summer the settings were stuck at 75 degrees and full blast. I drive a lot of street driving and stop and go with traffic on the freeway, but i was very concerned for the extra stress it was adding to my engine. So, i disconnected the A/C module harness which in turn shut off cold air coming through the vents and preventing my engine from being over worked at each red light i was parked at or drive thru.

The cable harness for the A/C is not easy to disconnect and hook back up on the go because it sits at the bottom of the engine on the drivers side. You will not have a lot of room to do this without removing the air intake hose. Also, after disconnecting that harness the blowers will blow dry dirty/ smelly air so look for the 2 fuses that say blower ( I believe they are 15a) and unplug them out the fuse box. This is all i could recommend to prevent serious engine wear and tear.

I see this a lot. the radio unit is most often the cause. the circuit board can also be the cause, but its less common.
