Are these keys still available from anyone? My factory key fob just broke off my keychain today and I really like the flip key look..

Take it to any well-equipped locksmith and they can cut and program it for you. Last time I was quoted, it was $75, and you bring your own key.

i have one, it's a 3 button one...comes with transponder and everything you need...all you have to do is have the key cut. you can take the chip out of your spare key so that you don't need to have the chip programmed or you can get the chip programmed that comes with it your choice. $40 shipped pm if your interested. i can send pics if needed

Okay I purchased from mykeyless-1 on the recommendations of some of you and upon receiving it I found out it does not work.

I know how to reprogram keyfobs, as I even reprogrammed my current one to test it. About to ask for refund or replacement =|

Yes, ask for a replacement or refund. Mine worked perfectly. I got it cut at home depot for like a 1.50 and reprogrammed at a local locksmith for $25.

PM IpearlG

He sells the 4 button flip key for $32 shipped. I removed the transponder chip from the old key and put it in the new one. The key was cut by a locksmith for $2.

Still dealing with this guy on eBay. First the keyfob wasn't valid at all. I doubt the transponder was any good either... Sent it back to him and he has still to send me back a working key. About to rip him a new hole by requesting the money back through American Express.

Solved!!!

Hey guys,

I've been following this thread for a while. I was never happy with the unrealibility of this mod, and the lack of ease in which this could be done.

With a little searching, I found this. This is what I bought,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=280366687005

I bought one of these and took my old transponder out of the OEM key and put it in this one. The electronics from the old fob fit perfectly in this housing and it comes with new rubber buttons. I just took it apart, took the key blank out and brought that and my old key to the local hardware store and they cut the blank for 2 dollars. Works like a treat, feels great in my hand, isn't too big and looks awesome. This took me all of 10 minutes to do once it arrived - no fuss no muss.

You be the judge
