sucks u lost the panic button though. Although i don't think it's a big loss. The only times I've ever used it, is when I'm trying to find car in a parking garage... lol
The only time I ever use it is when I am under the car changing oil or whatever and the keys are in my pocket and something accidentally presses the button. I don't care what anyone says that horn is loud when you are 2 feet from it!

I guess I NEED to do this...

So, I got one of these remotes also from the same source. Programming was easy enough and I took it down to Infiniti of Scottsdale today to have the key cut. I gave them the original key and the blank and he went into the back and cut the key, $4.50 for just the key.. I didn't want to get the transponder programmed until I tested the key first.. So, off to the car with my fresh new flipkey...

Inserted key but it won't turn so I pulled key out and noticed some metal "crumbs" on the key which seemed to be stuck there. Picked off what I could and tried again.. this time it turns to almost the ACC position and won't go any further.. tried to turn key back and it won't go back either! Now key is just stuck in ignition.. Go inside and get lock dude and comes out and can't get it out either.. he goes back inside and brings out technician who also cannot remove the key... after another few minutes they key is now broken off in the tumbler...

Dealer says it's gonna cost close to $600 installed for a new ignition. I told the service guy that it's not my problem since the key was cut there, but he's telling me I gave them the wrong blank. I had to leave the car there and cruise the loaner versa back home but i'm going back in tomorrow with guns blazing!! If it was the wrong blank then they shouldn't have cut the key in the first place! and i've got a feeling that it was cut wrong as there were those crumbs on the key when I got it. I contacted the ebay seller, remotehub, and he says over 200 sold with no problems up 'til now.. I'll keep ya informed of what happens tomorrow but I wanted to make sure and share this story with anyone who's considering this key...

Sorry to hear about that. I didn't have any problems with mine. Good luck. Let us know what happens.

Thanks for confirming that it did work for you. I'm heading down there in a short while to get some satisfaction..

aaaah..finally got my car back yesterday.. cost me $160 for them to remove and put back the ignition so a locksmith could remove the broken key.

So, i'll be sending the flipkey back to remotehub... my only question is whether or not to have him replace it with another flipkey and have an auto locksmith cut it this time.. me wants that flip key!!

my friend just bought one of those, from the same seller as well... theres only 3 button so the panic is gone... he had a problem with the key being too thick, the locksmith had to sand the key down a bit.. then we had it program with the rest of the keys.. it started up fine and everything.. a hr or so later the car wont start with that key, lucky we had the other keys on us if not we would of been screwed..... were going back to the locksmith tomorrow to see what is up with it...
